HOW IS THE KRIYA YOGA MANTRA PRACTICED?

After Maha mudra practice, perform hong-sau mantra like this:

1) Sit upright and close your eyes. Direct your inner gaze to the third eye.

2) With natural breathing through the nose mentally recite "hong" with the incoming breath and "sau" with the outgoing breath.

3) As your breathing becomes more subtle, disregard the mental mantra, and listen to the hong-sau mantra...

4) When the breath becomes very subtle, disregard the hong-sau mantra, and breath and rest in the tranquil state for some time while looking into the third eye.
