To be God Realized the best one can do is to Be with Someone who Is - this is Divine Association.

Sri Yukteswar and many other disciples of Lahiri Mahasaya were Gurus. Not only Sri Yukteswar, there were many. And that's what they all did - they all sought out others that were God Realized.

Yogananda sought out Yogis, Sadhus, and Gurus his entire life - just to meet them, talk to them, see them.

This is the most important step before you start to meditate. Before you are initiated - it's crucial to keep the company of someone who is the ideal of what you strive for. This solidifies your focus as to what it is that you want.

This is the number one most important thing. Ask yourself with absolute honesty - What it is you truly want. Do you truly want God?

The state of consciousness of the Self Realized that vibrates into the physical being exudes a particular vibration.

When you meet a Mahatma, a True Yogi you feel Uplifted. They don't have to say anything, they don't have to do anything ~ Just by their mere Presence, one feels the power of the peaceful Self Realized One who lives First and Foremost for God.
